All my life I have been the "big" girl. I didn't really hate my body but I didn't really love it either. I would try to lose weight, see a little success, and then life would come along and hit me with emotions that were easier to bury in a bag of Oreos than actually confront. I'd gain a little strength through a gym or workout program, only to find out we were moving again or my kid's school schedule changed, or we just couldn't afford the gym membership anymore. I'd build a routine of making myself a priority and then my kid would hit the terrible twos, or the "dear God this sucks" pre-teens, or I'd lose my job, or there was a death in the family. I've built myself up only to be taken out by injuries, surgeries, sickness, and doubt.
